Yeah I think that may be wise. Doug and I are still together. We got through that last little 'blip'. He did go to Colorado. And while I'm not happy with the way he decided to go about it I'm glad he is out there doing this for himself. We talk maybe 2-3 times a week over the phone for about 2.5hrs (at least that seems to be our average, our max is 4hrs), and we are constantly texting. Thank goodness for the unlimited texting plan I got a month ago.
School got a little bit tough after Doug left. I just didn't care. I did get my act together the last two weeks and that helped a little.
Work was okay. I got closer to some of the girls I work with. I went out with them every so often. One weekend, after going with them two nights in a row I was the topic of the Taco Bell gossip the day after. I felt like I joined the plastics from mean girls or something. I loved having someone to go out with finally though and they were fun to hang out with. Plus they got me some free drinks from some of the guys hitting on them!
The weather was sucking severely the last couple of weeks I was in Michigan. I was constantly getting my little Lancer stuck in the snow. And I was an idiot and drove my car to work one day before a snow storm (I had no clue). I broke down (me not the car) once I finally got to my dorm. I'm such a baby.
I got sucked into the Twilight phenomena. I just finish a reading war with Doug on New Moon. Now I'm waiting until I get Eclipse into my clutches while Doug is still finishing up New Moon. Granted he has been uber busy with work while I've been on vacation.
Vacation....I'm in Germany with my parents right now. I've been here for 2 weeks. My brother and his girlfriend were here too but they just left two days ago. We spent a few days in Klais....(Near Garmish or the Bavarian Alps if you want a visual). Once I get to my computer I will probably be uploading a couple of pics.
We also spent two nights in Paris for New Years. That was crazy. There were over half a million people in the Champs-Élysées, including us! My mom was smart and stayed in the hotel room. It was like everyone was in pre-riot form. We were getting pushed in all directions while we tried to get to the metro station. I was walking over people's legs. I almost fell a couple times but my dad was right behind me with his arms already around me. Ugh, except for that craziness it was amazing. I definitely want to go back, preferably in the spring or summer and with friends.
I go home on the 10th. Then I start classes on the 12th.
The only thing that is going to keep me going is knowing that Doug is coming back to Michigan for my spring break in March. And my mom is also coming over for a visit around that time. It's going be amazing to have him back. Even if only for a week. Then he comes back for good in June.
I thinks all the major points that I wanted to touch one. I will hopefully have some free time at the beginning of the semester to add some more photos.
